All the seeds we offer are certified organic and open-pollinated. We do not offer GMO varieties.

At Northern Seeds, we are dedicated to preserving biodiversity and adapting seeds to the unique climatic conditions of Canada. Our mission is to produce seeds that not only meet the needs of gardeners and farmers but also contribute to the resilience of our food systems in the face of challenges posed by climate change.

We firmly believe that seeds are the foundation of a sustainable food future. By cultivating varieties adapted to Canada’s cold climates and short growing seasons, we ensure that farmers have seeds capable of thriving in their local environments. Through variety trials, we identify and develop seeds that are not only productive but also resistant to diseases and extreme weather conditions. We are also working to adapt and develop varieties well suited to short growing seasons.
