These near-black flowers, with pale mauve specks, have a beautiful luminous effect. They are very easy to grow and look dashing in any garden or bouquet. Well liked by pollinators.

Growing recommendations
Annual. Scabiosa can be direct seeded in late May or seeded indoors up to 6 weeks before last frost. Transplant 12” apart when days are warm. They prefer full sun but will tolerate some shade.

Alternately, you can choose to pick up your order at the farm in Farrellton, QC.

The trialing allows us to test varieties of a same species side by side and determine which one(s) taste and perform the best.
Breeding and variety maintenance means selecting for traits that are desirable such as flavor, texture, disease resitance, earliness and hardiness, just to mention a few.
