About this variety
Apricot Lemonade Cosmos offers stunning blooms in shades of apricot and pale pink with golden centers. This graceful annual attracts pollinators and adds a soft, bright touch to flower beds. Ideal for bouquets, it blooms all summer, bringing color and charm to the garden.
Colour varies somewhat. We're working toward a more uniform strain, but the occasional plant still has all-white flowers.

Growing recommendations
Annual. Direct sow cosmos seeds about ¼” deep outdoors after the last frost, or start indoors 4–6 weeks before the last frost for earlier blooms. Plant in full sun, spacing plants 12–18 inches apart. Cosmos tolerate poor soil and require little watering once established; rich soil tends to push leaves over blooms. Deadhead spent blooms regularly to encourage continuous flowering.
Lots of flowers on a large bushy plant. Loved how there were a variety of colored blooms from blush pink to white to various yellows.
So pretty
They sprouted well and were beautiful!
Not prolific at all. The ones I got were pretty but pretty underwhelming show.
Hi Cathy, cosmos flower most in full sun and fairly lean soil, since rich soil tends to push leaves over blooms. Cutting the flowers regularly also keeps new buds coming through the season.

Disappointed in color not looking like pictures
Hi Jackie, I'm sorry this crop didn't work for you. Apricot Lemonade varies in colour from plant to plant, and we're working toward making the variety more uniform. If you email us at info@northernseeds.ca, we'll send you a replacement packet.

The other seeds were perfectly fine but this package was a total dissapointment.
It was dust and I only had one plant out of it. I think it most have been thr last of the bunch and should not have been packaged.
Hi Martine, I'm sorry you ran into issues with this packet. Cosmos seed is long and thin and sows best about 1/4 inch deep after the last frost. If you email us at info@northernseeds.ca, we'll send you a replacement packet.

We're trialing and breeding new varieties!
This is the most challenging and thrilling part of our work.
The trialing allows us to test varieties of a same species side by side and determine which one(s) taste and perform the best.
Breeding and variety maintenance means selecting for traits that are desirable such as flavor, texture, disease resitance, earliness and hardiness, just to mention a few.
You're one of a kind
If you're not 100% satisfied with your purchase, let us know and we'll make it right!
But we'd also love to hear from you if you see something wicked cool in your garden or if you know of a variety in need of stewardship.
