Zowie is a true showstopper in the garden — an explosive bicolor zinnia with radiant, sunburst blooms that shift in color as they mature. Each flower opens with a fiery ring of golden yellow around a vivid raspberry-red center, then gradually deepens into warm shades of magenta, amber, and orange as the petals age. The result is a plant covered in glowing, multicolored blooms at every stage, all at once.
This award-winning variety stands tall on sturdy stems, thrives in heat, and blooms continuously from midsummer to frost. A magnet for butterflies and bees, Zowie brings unforgettable color to borders, pollinator plantings, and summer bouquets. It’s an easy, high-impact annual perfect for gardeners who want maximum drama with minimal fuss.

Growing recommendations
Annual. Start seeds indoors 4–6 weeks before the last frost, or direct sow outdoors after the last frost. Plant in full sun, spacing plants 12 inches apart for good air circulation. Zinnias prefer well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. For continuous blooming, deadhead regularly by removing spent flowers.

We're trialing and breeding new varieties!
This is the most challenging and thrilling part of our work.
The trialing allows us to test varieties of a same species side by side and determine which one(s) taste and perform the best.
Breeding and variety maintenance means selecting for traits that are desirable such as flavor, texture, disease resitance, earliness and hardiness, just to mention a few.
You're one of a kind
If you're not 100% satisfied with your purchase, let us know and we'll make it right!
But we'd also love to hear from you if you see something wicked cool in your garden or if you know of a variety in need of stewardship.
