About this variety

A mesmerizing orange bloom with pink undertones. Many strong stalks loaded with flowers. Starts producing surprisingly early and keeps going for many weeks. Grows 36” tall.

+/- 60 Seeds

Grown organically.

Growing recommendations

Annual. Snapdragons need light to germinate: sow on the surface, don't cover the seed, and keep it moist until it sprouts. Seed indoors 8 to 10 weeks before last frost and transplant after risk of frost. Benefits from pinching. Harvest when only one or two of the lowest blooms have opened.

Gems. They are so beautiful. Tall healthy spikes that are still blooming even after a few frosts. The bumble bees love them too!

I started these inside in April and transplanted them. They bloomed well into the fall

Never came up

Hi Wendy, I'm sorry this crop didn't work for you. Snapdragons need light to germinate, so they do best surface sown indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost and kept moist until they sprout.

Easy to start . Hardy. Pale orange compared to photo so not as vibrant as I hoped thry would be. More peach than orange crimson

J
Jody

Nothing germinated so didn’t grow.

N
Nicole

Nicely sprouted, at least 85% germination!

We're trialing and breeding new varieties!

This is the most challenging and thrilling part of our work.

The trialing allows us to test varieties of a same species side by side and determine which one(s) taste and perform the best.

Breeding and variety maintenance means selecting for traits that are desirable such as flavor, texture, disease resitance, earliness and hardiness, just to mention a few.
