This variety won the AAS Award in 1936 and remains popular. Bold white, pink and magenta blossoms with yellow centers bloom early and bountifully, attracting pollinators and birds. Easy to grow and resilient to drought and poor soil.

Growing recommendations
Annual. Cosmos are very easy to grow. They can be direct seeded (1.4” deep) in the spring or started indoors and transplanted after the risk of frost. Space plants8“-12” apart Do not amend the soil. Full sun always.

The trialing allows us to test varieties of a same species side by side and determine which one(s) taste and perform the best.
Breeding and variety maintenance means selecting for traits that are desirable such as flavor, texture, disease resitance, earliness and hardiness, just to mention a few.
