Lacy Lavender Didiscus is an elegant annual that produces clusters of delicate lavender flowers. Its airy, lacy look makes it a beautiful addition to flower beds, and its blooms are perfect for fresh or dried arrangements. This plant attracts pollinators and adds a soft pop of color to the garden.

Growing recommendations
Start didiscus seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost, then transplant outdoors after the final frost, in full sun. Space plants 8–12 inches apart. Didiscus prefers well-drained soil and moderate watering. Regular deadheading will encourage blooms throughout the summer.

The trialing allows us to test varieties of a same species side by side and determine which one(s) taste and perform the best.
Breeding and variety maintenance means selecting for traits that are desirable such as flavor, texture, disease resitance, earliness and hardiness, just to mention a few.
