An elegant amaranth with long, cascading tassels of soft green that sway gracefully in the garden. Emerald Tassels makes a striking accent in borders, bouquets, and dried arrangements. The tall, branching plants are easy to grow and thrive even in less fertile soils. Stunning both fresh and dried, it brings unique texture and movement to floral displays.

Growing recommendations
Start seeds indoors 4–6 weeks before the last frost or sow directly outdoors after the soil has warmed. Sow ¼ inch deep in full sun. Thin or transplant seedlings to 12–18 inches apart. Germination occurs in 7–14 days at 70–75°F. Tolerates heat and drought once established. Cut tassels when fully developed for fresh or dried use.

Alternately, you can choose to pick up your order at the farm in Farrellton, QC.

The trialing allows us to test varieties of a same species side by side and determine which one(s) taste and perform the best.
Breeding and variety maintenance means selecting for traits that are desirable such as flavor, texture, disease resitance, earliness and hardiness, just to mention a few.
