Growing notes
Direct seed 15+ seeds per foot at 1/2" depth in rows 15’’ apart. Thin to one plant every 2” (don’t skip this step!). Beets can be seeded in succession until early July. Amend the soil for big beets.

The trialing allows us to test varieties of a same species side by side and determine which one(s) taste and perform the best.
Breeding and variety maintenance means selecting for traits that are desirable such as flavor, texture, disease resitance, earliness and hardiness, just to mention a few.

We're a small farm and we want to deal fairly with everyone who buys from us. If your packets don't arrive, we'll send them again. If we made a mistake with your order, we'll replace it or refund it.
