Traditional Italian heirloom variety for sublime pesto. Also a great companion for tomatoes, be it in the garden or on your plate.

Growing notes
Basil likes hot weather, ample water and good soil. Ideally, seed basil indoors and transplant it to the garden in the late spring to mid-summer. Pinching the growing tips will encourage the plant to branch out and grow leaves instead of sending out flower heads. Basil grows well in containers.
